Needles and notions

  • 3.75mm/US 5 needles for scarf, pair or circular needle depending on preference

  • 3.75mm/US 5 circular needle, 40 (60, 80) cm/ 16 (24, 32) ins long for cowl, or the magic loop method may be used for the smaller cowl circumferences using a longer circular needle

  • stitch marker for cowl

  • yarn needle for sewing in ends

Tension

After blocking, one pattern repeat measures approx 4cm/2½ins wide.

Achieving the stated tension is not essential.
