Chains Beanie Pattern
This knitting pattern PDF is for the Chains Beanie. The distinctive patterning of this unisex beanie features textured cables in the band that follow up into colourwork ‘cables’ for the remainder of the beanie.

It is knitted in rounds from the bottom edge up.
The cable pattern on the band is set into a garter stitch background.
The remainder of the beanie (except for the crown) is worked in stranded colourwork.
Both the band and the colourwork cable patterns are worked over a 12-stitch pattern repeat and can be worked from the charts or the written instructions.
The Chains Beanie requires intermediate knitting skills.

To fit approx head size child (small adult, large adult)
circumference approx 45 (50, 55) cm/17¾ (19¾, 21¾) ins
depth approx 20 (20, 21) cm/7¾ (7¾, 8¼) ins
Choose a size that will stretch to fit your head size.
It is intended to be worn with approx 3-6cm /1¼-2¼ins negative ease.

Tension
After wet blocking, the tension required is 24 sts and 27 rows to 10cm/4ins over colourwork pattern, worked in rounds using 4.5mm needles.
